You stand on a patch of dirt, leaning against a stone brick wall. You’ve been waiting there for some reason. You feel like there’s somebody you should meet.

A stray cat walks around the corner. You pay it no notice, letting it walk by. Instead, the cat turns and sits down in front of you. You look down at it. Is this who you were waiting for?

“Hello.” the cat says to you, in plain English. Somehow, you’re not surprised that this cat can speak. “Good afternoon,” You answer, “Do you have some business with me?” The cat glares at you for a moment, expressionless.

“Yes, I do,” It informs you. “I’m here to deliver a message on behalf of an anonymous sender.” This too, feels somehow unsurprising. “Well, do go on then.” You usher the cat. “The sender wished to tell you that it’s time to wake up.”

You try your best to wake up but have to tell the cat that you simply can’t manage. “I never was very punctual,” You add. “I’m sure whoever it is can wait.” You continue speaking with the cat about various things over the next few hours.
