“What is it that you seek?”
You stare up at the mediator, a towering and horrifying angelic creature. It wears a long, regal, white robe with beautiful golden-threaded embroidery. Its head looks like the skull of a strange animal, bearing no skin or flesh. You’ve spent a lifespan to get to this moment, and you mustn’t waste it.
“I’d like to rest,” You answer, “Even if only for a moment.”
“Then rest, you shall.”
A darkness suddenly surrounds you. Not the darkness a child fears, but the comfortable black which envelops a tired man as he drifts to sleep.
