There was once a foolish king.

As a prince, he lived in his castle his whole life, never taking a step outside.

Eventually, his father passed away and he ascended the throne.

He received many reports of missing peasants across the various domains of his kingdom, but paid them no heed, as the peasants weren’t of much worth.

Days went by, and he eventually handed the criminal reports to his advisor instead of handling them himself,

One day at a time, the population whittled away, until one morning, the foolish king woke up to find his castle empty.

He stepped outside his castle walls for the first time, finding his capital completely vacant.

Nobody ever learned where the missing people went, but the king must have, as he disappeared the very next day.
